February 11th, 2010
Thai boxing or Muay Thai (as known outside the western world) is a martial art originally from Thailand.
Thai Boxing is thought to be around 2000 years old and was formed when wars from neighbouring countries were often fought with hand to hand combat.
It was introduced into the Thai military in the early 20th Century.
Since that time Thai Boxing has greatly evolved and can be more widely seen demonstrated in MMA.
